The first step in the Sourcing Process
is for an SCT Client Representative to work with you in determining
your project's full requirements and specifications, including any
technical drawings. These requirements typically include, but are
not limited to, estimated quantities, purchase frequency, current
price, target price, packaging requirements, full product specifications,
etc. Additionally, we will need a sample of your product and packaging
artwork, as appropriate. This step will typically take one (1) week.
The
SCT Client Representative will submit your Sourcing Request to our
Sourcing Department. The Sourcing Department works with our supplier
factories to generate the most competitive pricing possible without
sacrificing quality. Within no more than three (3) weeks, you will
receive a complete quote from us, including the following: Unit
Price FOB China, Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ), any applicable Mold
Fees, the Sampling Charge, estimated units that can fit into a 20'/40'
container for shipping, and an estimated shipping charge.
After
you have approved the quote presented to you and provided the sampling
fee, we will run a production-ready sample for you. When this sample
is completed, you will be sent pictures for preliminary approval.
You will then be sent the actual sample. Should the sample be insufficient
or require minor changes, we will then proceed with the creation
of another sample for you. There is typically a small sampling fee
of $50 to $100 (for non-technical items). We require this sampling
phase to ensure that you are 100% satisfied with the final product
that you will receive. Samples typically take 2-3 weeks to create,
depending on the nature of the product.
After
you are satisfied with your sample and you would like to initiate
the full production of your goods, we require a signed Purchase
Order. Along with this Purchase Order, you will be required to pay
a 30% deposit on your total order (unless other financing terms
are arranged). This deposit is required before any goods are produced.
The 70% balance of your order will be paid at the time of loading,
once production is complete. When we receive your signed Purchase
Order and 30% deposit, we will work with our factory partners to
produce your goods, in a timely manner. Production is 45-60 days,
depending on the nature of the product. You will be given full production
timeline expectations on a project by project basis during the Quoting
cycle.
During the production process and before
any items are packaged for shipment, our Quality Control team will
be on-site at the factory to guarantee that your product is produced
according to the quality and technical guidelines that you have
presented to us.
After
our Quality Control team has cleared your product for shipment,
the goods will be packaged and prepared to be sent. We will oversee
the transportation of your product from the factory, to the port,
and onto a shipping vessel. We can ship to any port that you specify.
Note that we take full responsibility for getting your product to
a China port and onto a vessel bound for you. You are then responsible
for picking up your product from whichever International port you
specify. We will help you through the customs process and assist
you with any shipping-related issues. However, your product will
be shipped in your name. Shipping usually takes three weeks to North
America.
